Posted a personal best 10K time this past weekend in Forest Grove during the Run for Sight.
Time: 1:04:35
It was another small community type event, very similar to the Camellia Run we did this past spring.
I didn’t feel that great but started determined to run a fast race and overcome the feeling. I think I tried too hard because I definitely ran the first half faster.
Despite not feeling strong, I ran hard once I saw the finish and managed to pass my father at the last minute. The sad story was Jason’s— he was so fast at the start of the race that the corner marshals didn’t get into place and he followed the race leader off-course.
But he won a bike in a raffle (which he later exchanged for a nice commuter bike)!
