Valentine’s Day Training Run in Seattle

A Valentine’s Day Training Run with my hubby.

I love running in races, but I’m not a fan of training. Sometimes I struggle to get myself out the door. But there’s no better way to improve a trainining run than by a change of scenery.

Jason and I drove up to Seattle to visit a friend this past weekend. Originally I was irritated that I had to do a run— I didn’t want to skip it because the Tinker Bell Half will be here before you know it.

However, on Sunday morning, Jason and I went for a wonderful training run alongside Elliot Bay in Seattle’s Centennial Park. The weather was cool, but the rain held off.

Had to sport my Heartbreaker Half shirt from last year.

New scenery, refreshing sea air and I felt pretty good. The views were wonderful and even though I’d been fighting a headache, I truly enjoyed my run. If you are in Seattle, I highly suggest Centennial Park!

So the sun wasn't shining that brightly, but I'd rather run under a cloudy sky than in 90 degree heat.

Next year, perhaps I’ll run in Seattle for Valentine’s Day again. I did really liked the look of Seattle’s My Better Half Marathon—Jason and I could get interlocking heart medals!
