Race for the Cure 8K

I felt really good during this run. I always do better on organized runs then on my training runs.

I like this event because it is really well supported, despite the controversies the Susan Komen foundation has had in the past.

I have absolutely no breast cancer history in my family (we are more the heart disease types), but Jason does so we ran in honor of some of his female relatives.

Katie, Jason and I all ran. Katie is currently training for the Portland Marathon, but says my slower pace was nice as she recovers from an injury.

Next: 10K in October (and the time for that one will be used for corral placement for the Tinker Bell Half Marathon!)
